Hello,

Manfred Hampl (m-hampl) said : #8

Ok, as expected.
Now please try

sudo apt-get install wine1.6

if that gives a similar error message quoting another package as "is not going to be installed", try the same command again with that package name and so on, until there is a different error message.

Then copy/paste all output into this question document, that we can check and hopefully advise further.

Ok, even if the error message is slightly different (no more "not going to be installed" but "unmet dependencies"), please continue until you get a completely different message with

sudo apt-get install wine1.6-i386

and so on.

What is the output of

apt-cache policy libglu1 libglu1:i386 libusb-1.0-0 libusb-1.0-0:i386

apt-get --simulate install wine libgphoto2-port10:i386 libusb-1.0-0:i386

Try this command:

sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386

Please also send us the output of this command:

cat /etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/multiarch

After that, please also send us the output of these commands:

dpkg --print-foreign-architectures

sudo apt -get update

Sorry, last command should be:

sudo apt-get update

with no spaces between apt and -get

I see the culprit (or at least the first of them):

You have the amd64 version of libcgmanager0 from trusty-backports, but the system (because of priority settings) wants to install the i386 version from the trusty-updates repository.

Try

apt-get --simulate install wine libcgmanager0:i386=0.39-2ubuntu2~ubuntu14.04.1

and report the result.

Hello,

It's good this line work se I have installed wine 1.6
