11.10 Remove Programs

Asked by Bill Campbell

In jacking around with 11.10, I've wound up with two instances of Adobe Digital Editions installed. Dash says so.
They do NOT show up in Ubuntu Software Center or the Synaptic Package Mananger. So how do I uninstall them?

Because this question was asked in the "wine" section, I'm right that the Adobe Digital Edition was installed via Wine, aren't I?

If this is the case, go to your dash, type in "wine" and "uninstall wine applications" should appear. Start the application, select the Adobe Digital Edition and will be uninstalled for you ;)

Not installed via Wine. Not listed in Uninstall Wine Applications.
Thanks anyway.

Then...how did you install it?

Dang if I know. I thought it was via the Software Center.
I'm gonna wipe out 11.10 and do a fresh install of 10.04 LTS. At least I could find my way around in that.
I don't care for the Unity .

You can also install Gnome on 11.04 and following ;) Just install the Gnome package via Synaptic, log out, and you can select the Gnome Desktop in the Login...
