wine 1.2/1.3 req's cd?

Asked by Metalshadow2448

okay, I have just installed ubuntu 11.10 onto my Acer 5250, and I had a bunch of .arc files that need to be unzipped. the answer to that problem was, as I was told, was to use FreeArc and Wine. Problem is, whenever I try to install any version of wine, it asks for the cd/dvd i used to install ubuntu with. no problem, i would say, but i installed it with a thumb drive and I can't change the path... anyways, if anyone has a better idea, then please tell me, thanks

You can use nomarch to extract arc files:
http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/lucid/man1/nomarch.1.html
