i was trying to use WINE to run a digital camera software .ScopeTek (www.scopetek.com) software with no help. is there anther amulaor that might work ?

No. Wine is the only windows emulation software widely available for linux. There are proprietary modifications to wine, but there is no guarantee that these would be of any use (and probably would not).

Is there any reason you do not use the native software to access your camera?
