0x80020005 error using window installer for an .exe program

I have downloaded a program for National Consumer Panel. Its an .exe program. I am getting error 0x80020005 and it terminate setup. I'm using Ubuntu 11.10. It's a hand held scanner. The program used is for windows xp. I'm new to Ubuntu and hope I'm asking the question correctly.

Have you got?: Wine

SOME Windows programs will work on Linux trough Wine, but NOT ALL.

Mark the file as executable and it will run with wine, but as arochester says, not all apps work and you can check the appdb for compatibility:
