itunes: program error need help

i have small problem wont let me download itunes. all my music is in itunes none of already existing progama or software options let me play my music. is their a progama or software that i can use to bypass this. i tell to download. then when oping file in Archive Manger. it say this-

is there something im doing wrong im runing on the current version of ubuntu. has increased my computers speed very much took hours to turn on and then load operating system. i have a Microsoft@ Windows@XP designed by Dell. I'm not much experiance with computers. i know how to use them. my teacher in math told of ubuntu. so then i downloaded it. My parents come to me for help with computer.

a little about self im 18. im current doing my senior year in high school. never took a computering class till this year and that is to get certifed in microsoft excel, word, and possible powerpoint. so far started excel. the version where wooking on is 2008. can someone help me please.

I resent update. i also took pictures of what i do and saved to desktop. if this tad bit helps.

chmod +x /tmp/iTunesSetup.exe; wine /tmp/iTunesSetup.exe

MAY make it work. iTunes (and crappy iPods) can be a pain in Linux as they are geared around people having Mac or Windows OS.

Basically unless you are running version 8 or 8.2 (which I'm sure would get updated), it's not going to work and I suggest you look at alternatives to get data onto your device.

What can i use that will let me play the music or transfer it to another comparably program. Still new to system. why to poor to pay for lesson due to my senior year of high school. can you help.

Rhythmbox, Amarok and Banshee can. You can also install ifuse and treat it as a hard drive.
