Error in installing IE8

This is what I have in my terminal - seems to show this for a very long time. It shows a ton of stuff but hangs here?

Not going ahead from this point and can't install IE8

IE8 doesn't run well if at all in Wine. There is ies4linux but it is also not that great. Why do you need IE8?

i have to use some online soft-switch and there is some tabs which is unable to open in firefox and in chrome so i need to install IE8.

It won't install. I can suggest an agent switcher (if that isn't what you already meant above). The agent switcher will make sites think you are using a different browser by changing how it identifies itself when queried.
