Can't open Toshiba Satellite owner's manual in Linux(Ubuntu 10.4)

Asked by dale

How do I open files and run downloads that require Windows software? Laptop came with Windows XP. I partitioned hard drive with Lucid(10.4). I copied the owner's manual into my external hard drive (where it shows as a document 'application/x-win-ink'). This and other files & videos will only run in Windows. I don't like Windows or Microsoft, so I usually trash entertainment downloads that don't run on Linux & only keep important stuff like diagrams, instructions, etc. that use Windows apps.
