How do i update sound driver?

I want to use Wine to get access to Spotify, but in Spotify it says I have a problem with my sound card.
The sound card works otherwise well, but in wine I do the audio test, but it says it fails.
Does this mean I have to update my sound driver?
How do I do it? Or is there another solution.
My aim is to get Spotify to work.
