Installing a game

Hi, I bought a game recently to play when I was bored but when I put the disk into the drive it wont auto-run like it did on my previous computer. I tried right-clicking on it and pressing 'Open with Auto-run Prompt' but it says permission denied. Can someone please help? thanks.

I'm guessing the game you have is Windows based? For you to run Windows games in Ubuntu, use Wine. http://www.winehq.org/ You can install Wine by searching for it in the software center.

WHICH GAME!? It is crucial to the question and you have completely omitted it... If you can tell us we can help a lot better. Can you also give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; dpkg -l | grep wine
