will odin3 run in ubuntu and how

I am trying to flash samsung galaxy s using Odin3 can open it but it wont recognise phone. Also are you goingu to make ubuntu able to run samsung kies?

No it doesn't work. You will need either closed source virtualbox or vmware (to get usb access) and a legal install media for windows as well as a legal license. You can then install the app and it may work there. Personally I wouldn't flash my phone using a VM due to the possibility of bricking your phone and would simply ask a buddy with a windows OS to let me borrow his/her system for 20 mins.

Thanks for quick responce. Best thing is ive convinced everybody to get ubuntu!! Wondering if it will work if i run a windows os along side ubuntu?
