I need a tutorial how to use Wine on Ubuntu 10.10

I want to ask if someone has or knows about a tutorial how to use/run Wine
to be able to use some applications like using Windows XP Pro, I have
installed Microsoft Windows Compatibility Layer(dummy package) I have
installed as well Wine Microsoft Windows Compatibility Layer (Beta release)
I really want to know how to use it in order to execute some kind/type of
Windows files and programs while using Ubuntu 10.10 once more I'll appreciate
any help you can provide, best regards!!!

Just mark the windows binary as executable and you can then run it with wine. You can use playonlinux to help. You will NOT be able to run apps from an NTFS partition if you dual boot but you can install the app in Wine (assuming it is compatible) and run the app.
