how to open h&r block 2010 tax prog. using 'lucid'

That's a Windows or Mac application. You need to install wine.

On a side note my wife is a H&R Tax Pro. If your filing a 1040EZ you can take it to a local office and they will do it for free.

Thanks for your fast response but after installing 'Wine' I still cannot
open my taxcut cd. Any other suggestions gratefully received. Can't file
1040EZ there is a schedule E involved.
Note: I did not have this problem last year when still using 'Karmic'

Not knowingly. I was not aware of Wine until yesterday. Maybe it was included in my original CD upload of Karmic.
