wine executable file issues

Okay so I installed wine via the ubuntu software center, and I tried to run the domdomsoft manga downloader, the site specifically says it can be used via wine for Ubuntu users, at first I got an error, so I went to properties and checked the box on allow executing file as program, when I tried to run the program again it no longer gave me an error, but the program never ran, any suggestions on what I can do to make the program run

All windows programs are not guaranteed to run on Wine.
Search for an alternate program in Ubuntu.
Or
Install a virtual machine software like Sun Virtual Box and inside that software you can install Windows OS and run your favourite softwares of Windows.
