setup.exe looks more like a Windows installer.
Could you check you have a version of Solid Works 2010 for Linux, if it exists.
Else you will have to install with Wine or inside a virtual machine with Windows installed.

First of all, you should be aware that only a couple versions of SolidWorks are likely to work at all on Ubuntu:
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=318

Second, SolidWorks is a Windows program, so to (attempt to) run it in Ubuntu, you must have Wine (http://winehq.org) installed. In Ubuntu, Wine is provided by the package "wine". One way to install this (or to find out if it's not installed) is in Applications > Ubuntu Software Center.

With Wine installed, you can attempt to install SolidWorks by right-clicking on the setup.exe file and clicking Open With Wine.

If that doesn't work or you have any further questions on this issue, please feel free to post again.

Can you help with this problem?
