as some people here said, itunes is a proprietary system and apple isn't sharing any secrets.

why don't you support ubuntu and buy tunes from the canonical site?

You can install the windows version of iTunes 7 from the PlayOnLinux utility. I am not sure if hardware devices that normally work with itunes (iPod, IPhone) will work though!
