Hoyle PC games

Asked by Parker Grytdal

I want to install some PC games I have. I have tried "Wine" but I get an error saying it doesn't have an executable. Can someone help?

Meaning, right click the Windows executable (the EXE file), select Properties and in the Permissions tab, make sure the "Allow executing file as program" is toggled on.

I have tried what Christian Dannie Storgaard said, and it let me change it to an executable program... it says "starting Hoyle Card and Board games" and then it shuts down.

From looking at appdb.winehq.org (not the easiest to navigate for this game) it seems installing from the installer executable doesn't work, but running the .msi installer does.

The easiest way to do this is probably to start a terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal) and write:
wine msiexec /i
(include the space at the end) and then drag the .msi file from the installation folder (CDROM or where ever you are running the installer from) to the terminal window, pasting in the path to the file - then press enter in the terminal.

Can you help with this problem?
