not able to download anything from on line

when I download an item likeI tunesit does a fast operation, and says downloaded. But when I try to open up my downloads all I get is error meswsages

Ubuntu is a Linux Operating System. iTunes is NOT a native Linux app.

You maybe able to install PlayOnLinux, which is Wine with extra whistles and bells and then install iTunes7 through that. http://www.playonlinux.com/

What other "downloads" have you got?

There are many other (and better, in my opinion) music players for Linux, try looking around in the Software Center if Rhythmbox (the default installed music player) doesn't suit your taste.

If you weren't talking about iTunes, then just ignore this message - your original message was a bit hard to read.
