is Ubuntu OS compatible to Cubase 5 for music production?

I would like to know if Ubuntu Operating system is recommended to use in my home studio with Steinberg Cubase 5 and other components for music production. I have a quad core 4 gig Pc.

Seems to be a mixed bag, depends what version you are using. Considering the range of opensource sound apps available I suggest you try some of those.

If you don't have any luck with CuBase then Reaper (http://reaper.fm) supports running through Wine quite nicely.
