can't find autorun program

Asked by Natalie Phillips

After i download a game from popcap.com or other sites not ubuntu i can't open and run to install and play the game. Even after going into properties on some downloads and changing them from read only and check run as program i still come up empty handed. I realize some windows games can't be played in Ubuntu. Our system tells us that it can't find the autorun program. We just did a clean install of Lucid Linux yesterday. Thank you for your help in advance..... One last thing we are Luxor 3 addicts please give us suggestions please......We are use to windows xp - Download...Open...Run...Install...Play games man....

Generally windows games won't work on non-windows.
However you might want to install wine, which provides a windows compatibility layer and could make your game work. It is not 100% sure.

You could also try checking their website: http://appdb.winehq.org/ to see if your game has already been tested and is known to work/not work

Can you help with this problem?
