If you have any issues with playing the PC games via wine, you can try setting up a virtual machine by installing Virtualbox, Qemu or some other virtualization variant on the Ubuntu pc, then installing a guest OS (i.e. Win XP, Vista) and finally installing and running the games in the virtual environment/guest OS.
