My wifi-radar dosent detect wifi!

Asked by Mike Lake

Ok first i wanna say thanks to all that take time and help...

I just installed Ubuntu 10.04. First i couldn't connect to the web. Comes to find out i tried
sudo apt-get install wifi-radar. and i didn't have the files. i looked it up on the web and found
the file, downloaded in to a memory card and installed it manually. I now set up all the IP
the Mac address and the rest of the info it asks but it still doesn't detect wifi. I also know that
there is a couple of wifi's out there because with windows wifi, ( which im using now, Not ubuntu
cause i cant connect to the web ) im very lost. also when i check the wifi signal it always says
off line. I obviously uncheck this option but cant figure this out.

im going to try this from another post but dont know if this might help.

(try a clean instal lof the app:

sudo apt-get --purge remove wifi-radar; sudo apt-get --purge autoremove; sudo apt-get clean; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get install wifi-radar

If running the app still generates an error then you have a bug and should report it. You can use wicd in the meantime if it suits your needs like wifi-radar.)

also i cant access some of the drivers cause it ask for internet.

PLEASE HELP PLEASE HELP!!!!!

run the command above and copy the text to a removable device, transport it to a working internet PC and post here. If a wired connection works then simply use a wired connection and paste the text (easier).

Can you help with this problem?
