Starting Wireless on e17(enlightenment)

Asked by Zach S.

I installed e17 on ubuntu 11.04 today. I noticed there are no tools for connecting wireless. Is there a way to start wireless with e17 like from wicd or gnome network manager? I can open wicd but it nevers connect to a wireless network.

wicd should have a desktop icon but also gives wicd-curses which is a terminal app for configuring wireless in a terminal easily :)

Hi. It took too long to get a response here so I joined the #e channel on irc for support. Someone there advised me to download connman and that fixed the problem for me. The wicd would not connect without gnome network manager connected. I had to download connman and install then uninstall it. After doing so then only I could connect wireless with wicd without gnome. Hope this helps anyone who has this or similar problem.
