0.31?
Is this the most recently released webpy version (0.31) or the marginally prior 0.30?
If the latter, what are the chances of 0.31 being in the final jaunty release, and how/when will that change occur?
0.31 fixes a major issue with wsgi compatability, which is important for my package.

Which Ubuntu release are you using?
I've made a simple copy paste of the debian files used in the previous release.
I've also changed the version to match the current one (i.e. 0.300 should be 0.30).
It's NOT TESTED, but it probably works.
It's in my Launchpad PPA for TESTING for jaunty and intrepid:

The intrepid build will take some minutes to finish, while I'm writing this:

I'm currently using Intrepid and Hardy, but my package (fivedash) isn't in the Ubuntu repositories yet. I want to build it for Jaunty and try to get it into the universe repo - the deadline is tomorrow, I believe.
Fivedash relies on webpy 0.31, which I see you have in your ppa. Are you saying if I test that and it works, you can push it into the Universe repo? If so, that would be fantastic. It means I can reply on that dependency being met, and I don't have to worry about bundling the webpy source.
I will immediately upgrade to Jaunty and test it - standby for a result in 6-8 hours.

I think the proper way is to make a bug report and ask for a new upstream release.
I'm really not sure, but it's better if you talk with the motu developers at #ubuntu-motu about this, since I'm not part of the team. :)

The hardy package is working as expected.
Last night I got into #ubuntu-motu and they told me to file a bug for this (in ubuntu) which I did. I probably did it all incorrectly, but I'm new at this... anyway here's the bug I put in... it sounded like they were going to update the version using your jaunty ppa package.
I still haven't got a box running Jaunty... hopefully will do in a couple of hours :)

Well, I still don't know what the chances are of web 0.31 being in Jaunty. All I know is that you did all you could to make it more likely, which I appreciate. I'm happy to leave the question closed in any case... I've listed webpy 0.31 as a dependency of my package, and given instructions in my documentation for adding your ppa to souces.list
If the universe package is updated in time, i'll modify my docs accordingly. Thanks for all your help.

I think it will, they have over a month's time to include it. I'll check it frequently until they do :)
