When will 1.0.21 loader version be available for Xenial?

Hi,

Xenial PPA still has 1.0.8 loader version, which has become very old.

1.0.21 version is released for Yekkaty but not for Xenial. Can I know what is the plan of releasing this version for Xenial too.

I suggest you report a bug.

If the bug and security fixes are significant then the version will be updated. In the LTS releases, stability is champion over getting new versions in the repos so packages will grow old.

Yes there are significant changes done to Vulkan loader after 1.0.8.

There is already a bug with details on missing functions from loader: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vulkan/+bug/1631462

Below change is significant one, and vulkan application using KHR_display extension will not work with 1.0.8 verion:

Please let me know if I should file another bug or the one I mentioned should be good enouggh.
