downloaded vnc, can not figure out syntax to install

I downloaded vnc extracted it to a created vnd folder but can not figure out the script to install it.

It is not clear if you want to install the vnc server or the vnc viewer.

If you need the vnc server, follow this guide:

If you also need to install the vnc viewer, I suggest reading this guide:

Both the vnc viewer and vnc server should be available in the universe section of the Ubuntu repositories. So you should install it using the standard apt-get, aptitude or Synaptic package managers.
