Launchpad fix for bug #160683?

Asked by Cliff Cunnington

Hi Fabio,

re: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vmware-server/+bug/160683

You closed this bug a week ago saying "This was a launchpad bug that has been fixed." Since then you have made 2 package releases, both with the same 'recursive install' bug. Clearly this has not been fixed.

Seeing as you are package maintainer, those of us subscribed to this bug would appreciate knowing *when* you expect the fix to be rolled out.

Regards,

Cliff

Cliff i don't know. I reassigned all the bugs to the right soyuz bug.
I hope it will be fixed ASAP since i keep receiving tons of emails for a bug
that's not "our" (maintainer and package ;)) fault.

Please keep track of this:
https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/soyuz/+bug/172275

That's all i can do.

Hi Fabio,

Thanks for the info.

I can imagine it was annoying for you to receive so much hassle for something that wasn't your responsibility -- but as you know, vmware-server was the package triggering the problem.

But it has now been properly assigned and will eventually be resolved -- that's the main thing.

Once again, thanks for the time and trouble you took to try to resolve this.

Cliff
