No sound from streaming videos or VLC...Dragon and Amarok work fine

I installed 9.10 now I have no sound from my VLC player or any other streaming videos. My Dragon player and Amarok work fine though.

Under Tools --> Preferences (or Ctrl + P key combination) you have Interface settings. On Audio tab, you should have Enable audio checked. Also you can play with the Type of Output.
