Whenever i watch a movie in vlc player or movie player... on full screen the system crashes...

whenever i watch a movie in vlc player or movie player... and play it on full screen the system crashes and i have to restart the computer...!!

It can to be the incorrects video codecs... be sure your video card driver is already updated... one question, when that happend all cpu process stop ? or just your video program...

everything stops and i can see a blank black screen...!! after that i need to restart my computer...!!
i have updated ubuntu wid all the necessary updates through update manager (i have downloaded all the video codecs too) and even it is showing me your system is up-to-date..!!
any way can u please tell me how to download the codecs..??

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras

you just need to update mplayer codecs. type this in console: sudo apt-get install mplayer
