vlc offline installer for ubuntu 12.10

HI...i am new 2 Ubuntu..windows 7 gave me the blackscreen of death..so i tried out ubuntu 12.10.and loving it!!!!
can someone please help me with a vlc offline installer for ubuntu 12.10????????????

i only have internet access at work none at home....

You will need all the dependency packages of vlc, as well as their deps if needed and so forth. Its no easy task. You already have Totem with open source codecs and you can add the closed ones vua the ubuntu-restricted-extras package.
