I was unable to download Ubuntu VLC

I try to download Vlc but all the site aint give a meaning

Please open a terminal by pressing ctrl+alt+t and tpye:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install vlc

give your user passwd when requested, you will not see any passwd chars back to screen when you type the passwd, so type then press enter
