This is not a bug, but a question about how to expone a wireless connection to the Virtualbox guests.

As far as I know, there's no way to do that, as VB exposes only ethernet connections to the guests. I tried to set a bridged type network connection right now from the wlan0 host, but it appears as an cable ethernet one in the guest.

Still, you can use an USB WIFI dongle to do it; check https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=49097 for more info
