want to share internet to my guest os in virtualbox

Hi. Thank you so much .

I am using Ubuntu 10.10 as Host and Centos 5 as guest OS in VirtualBox

I am using airtel 3G USB Modems/Datacard .I am in need for an internet access to Centos from the Ubuntu host . I have tried a lot with no results.....

Any suggestions?

Upgrade Maverick as soon as you can. Maverick is EOL so you will get no updates and no support. If you set the networking of the guest OS to bridged it should work.

Hi ,
I agree with @actionparsnip. Upgrade to a newer and supported version of Ubuntu.

For Ubuntu's versions details see here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

I suggest the 12.04 LTS (supported until April 2017). Fresh install recommended.

You have to enable the USB support , because your Internet modem is USB (as you said)
