Shared folder with host in Virtual Box

I am running ubuntu within Virtual Box on a Mac host (10.6.2). I have set up a shared folder via VB but do not know how to locate it in ubuntu. Can anyone help?

I imagine you'd be able to find it if you read the bottom of /etc/samba/smb.conf.

You can use the virtualbox settings to add a local folder as a "drive" in the virtualbox.Its much easier to bridge the connection so the virtual system appears on the physical network and can then access the samba shares on the host system as well as other systems as if it were a physical system

Sorry, don't even understand the answer. Terminal says no such command.
Again, don't understand. Don't see how to add folder as a drive.

Turn off the virtual machine. Then in VirtualBox, go to the machine settings, Network tab, and choose "Attached to: Bridged Adapter".

Then start the virtual machine. In the Ubuntu guest, go to Places > Network. If you don't see the host there, go to Places > Connect to Server. Choose Windows share and put the host's IP in the "Server" box.
