Are you setting the CD drive as the thing for VBox to boot, or mounting the ISO in the Vbox config?

I'm having the same problem. I'm using a bootable USB with windows 98 on it, and trying to use virtualbox to run a windows in my ubuntu 11.10. I have downloaded virtualbox 4.1.4 and the matching extensions for it. I also tried the instructions about changing the user name to my username in virtualbox in terminal but it still says FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted. I also cannot uninstall virtualbox at all, it does not appear in the list of installed programmes in ubuntu software centre.

Can you help with this problem?
