Shared Folder Virtual Box OSE

Hi,

Anyone have very simple instructions for setting up shared folder in Virtula Box OSE?

Jaunty host and Karmic guest.

You can make the guest appear on the LAN as if it was an extra PC. The default setup uses a virtual network using 10.0.1.0 subnet but you can change the network config so your device gets an IP from your network and you can then share a folder in the guest and access it via

smb://guest_host_name/share_name

Just like having an extra system on your LAN.

I have the same problem, knowing that version OSE 3.0.8 does not have the usb feature available, I need the instructions to setup the described method for me to access my usb printer associated with in my host Linux. Everything works with in my guess setup, Vista, but it will not sense my printer. I can not upgrade to the Sun Version, 3.1.6 due to a conflict as I mistakenly install a previous Guess setup with a snapshot registered, which I can not delete and if I do a complete permanent uninstall as directed, I will lose my new windows setup. So if your work around is effective, please send me the instructions on how to. I am still relatively new to Linux, so please make the commands simple as I will probably copy and paste them in my terminal. Thank you John Haskins, <email address hidden>
