Accessing images from MAC filesystems

How do I access or copy images from my MAC Snow Leopard?

I'm running Ubuntu under Virtual Box.

The Mac mini is not recognized.

As I don't have Mac OS, can't help.
An indirect way is to use SMB (Windows disk sharing protocol, managed by both Ubuntu and Mac OS).
