Why do you want to remove the password prompt? This removes the security feature.

If you do that, you will significantly reduce the security in your system.

Its not only about local security. ANYTHING accessing your system (including malicious java scripts and flash objects) will be able to run admin based tasks as your system will have ZERO security. It will be able to install and remove any program it chooses as well as remotely edit files and so on. The concern isn't about who is sat at the keyboard. It is about malicious web content which you are not aware of which will do the damage. Keeping the system passworded will mean the code will need to guess your password which is very unlikely. THIS is why it is secure.

the opensource virtualbox doesn't have USB access. You need the one from the virtualbox site which is closed source but gives USB access

the command is:
lsb_release -a
not:
isb_release-a

in uppercase it will be:
LSB_RELEASE -A

It is a terminal command, copy and paste it to the terminal and hit enter (this is for the host OS, not the guest).

Thanks

Press ENTER after the words you pasted. The words are a command so when you run the command you will make the terminal output some text. Copy the text and paste it here for use to see.

If you want USB support with latest version of Virtual Box, you have to download and install a new plug-in. USB support is not since version 4.0 in default install. You will also find in Virtual Box web site a dedicated forum for Ubuntu.

Did you uninstall previous version of Virtual Box before installing new one ?

yes i uninstall the previous one the download the ose and removed the ose then re-installed the 4.0.8, then try to start the virtualbox, but would not start, with error of kernel driver not installed,

Kernel driver should have been installed at end of Virtual Box installation.
Could you provide exact error message, so I could make a research.
I'm still using 4.0.4 and have not yet checked 4.0.8.
After installation, you will probably need to reboot computer.
