Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded (If you downloaded one), or did you just download wubi.exe?

Why not resize your partitions and go for a true install, they are far easier to resolve issues with and will run better as they are not affected by the shortcomings of NTFS, mainly fragmentation.

I just downloded wubi.exe!
I already have a true instalation!
I need this as I have programs that only run on windows and ones which only run on linux and I need to use them at the same time!

You can't run simultaneously Windows and Linux at same time via multi-boot. For this you need a virtual machine, like Virtual Box or VmWare.

That is exactly what I want to do; run linux virtually inside windows. Doesn't this say the same thing?

You will need the Ubuntu ISO and virtualbox or vmware. Wubi doesn't do this. Wubi just installs Ubuntu to a image in your NTFS.

So as far as I could understand Wubi allows me to install Ubuntu on a NTFS file system and runs just as a true installation would?

Yes it installs to a file as the Ubuntu "drive", the bootloader is then told to mount the image as a drive then boot it. Wubi is not a virtualization solution
