Which LAN drivers did you install exactly? The guest additions will give you all the drivers you can need.....

Sir,
I've used the Coralbean cd of drivers which comes with HCl
desktop.I've run it on xp in virtual box .I opened it,then there was a
folder named drives, then it shows 3 folders namely window xp,vista and
7.I went through xp folder ,then there were many folders of different
types of drivers including LAN also.
I went through the LAN folder, then run the setup and in the middle of
the setup it stops showing me the error that no intel adapters found
on this computer.
This is all which happened with me.

your virtual machine does not use intel adapters. Intel makes PHYSICAL adapters, i.e. real ones.

You don't need drivers in your guest operating system for physical devices, as the virtual machine can only see virtual devices. hence there are no intel devices on your virtualised system.

But my question is still unanswered as I've to use internet on xp and
for this I've to install driver.
Do you know any other method so that I can access internet?

Virtual Box proposes different types of virtual Ethernet chip in virtual machine configuration. You could try another one.

You don't install the same driver for your network card in the host in the guest. The hardware in the virtual system is virtualized, even the display adapter is virtualized so you may have an Nvidia video card but the virtual system will have a "Vbox VGA compatible adapter" or somesuch thing so your drivers for your actual hardware are of ZERO value to you.

http://www.dedoimedo.com/images/computers/2008/virtualbox-install-guest-additions.jpg

Shows how you install the extras. If that doesn't work then in the config of the powered of virtualbox, change the network hardware to something else to see if it works then, there are 3 to choose from.

Can you help with this problem?
