I need Internet Explorer on my Ubuntu OS

I need internet explorer for my job so i was wondering how may i install it. i went online a read but didn't get most of it because i just started using ubuntu system. so if you can reply with some very detailed steps on how to do this i would be very grateful.

You could run it in virtualbox but you'd need a FULL install of windows in the virtualbox requiring not only a legal license and install media, but also the system resources to run both OSes. You can install virtualbox from the repos.

There is ies4linux but it's not very stable but may be enough for what you need.

thank you, you made me go back and try what i was doing and i realized the mistake i was making lol. i will look into the virtualbox though thanks!!!

Run the binary, usually you just download an archive and extract it, there will be a binary or script you can run in the ies4linux folder

I don't reply to emails in any sort of intelligent way, so don't bother.

Install virtualbox, then grab your Windows CD and slam it in the drive, you can then tell virtualbox to access the CD and install the OS. There are tonnes of how-tos on YouTube (and similar) on virtualbox use, you can see exactly how it works there :)
