the message an error occured while mounting /proc/bus/usb

I get the message "an error occurred while mounting /proc/bus/usb" each time I am booting my Ubuntu 10.10.
The USB seem working properly in normal operation. But when I am going on virtualbox I do not see the USB port.

What that error is?, How can I correct it, Does it has a relation in between the first problem and the virtualbox problem?

Did you install OSE version or the one directly from VirtualBox web site ?

No I used the synaptic package manager to install virtualbox

If I remember, OSE version doesn't manage USB. You need to use not free version of VirtualBox, from their Web site.
