No USB in Virtual box

I run a desktop version on Ubuntu I believe it is 10.0.4 nevetheless I have virtual box 3.2.10 loaded into system. I did install windows xp inside vbox. Yes it does work but vbox will not acknowledge the usb ports. I need to figure this out. I did do a update thru the terminall and did load the dkms file. Can someone tell me how to set up the usb ports. My goal is to make my magicJack run inside vbox/windows.

Thanks for the response. I had already figured this out but appricate the attempt. Now I do have another issue with the magicJack in vbox but I will do a new post on that.
