Unable to install VBox Guest Additions on Meerkat.

Working on an OSX host (MBP) and trying to install guest additions on a newly upgraded Meerkat guest and getting errors trying to load the package. Once the package is executed the display goes to Colored ASCII characters and enlarges so that it only shows the upper left 3 square inches of screen? Any help on correctly loading this would be appreciated. While I am waiting on an answer I am torrenting the install CD to install from scratch to see if that corrects it.

I'm also unable to install Guest Addition for Maverick 10.10.
I read the error message, Virtual Box doesn't support today the new X11 server of Maverick.
So it seems only solution is to wait a new version of Virtual Box.
