How to disable auto-discovery of VNC servers nearby

I am on a LAN with large numbers of VNC servers. Vinagre takes 5 minutes to try to discover every server on every launch. This is really annoying. Is it possible to turn this feature off. I cannot find a menu item nor a command line option to shut it off.

From what I gather, you would need to compile vinagre from source without the avahi component. That would skip the auto identify process. You could post a bug as a wishlist item for the preferences.
