that's an user question rather than a bug

This is fairly easy to do.

Please read this community document.
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MountingWindowsPartitions/ThirdPartyNTFS3G

From the terminal, you can get some more information with the command
man mount

If you run into problems, report any error codes you get. Also it would be helpful to see the output of
sudo fdisk -l
cat /etc/fstab

Thanks

First of all you have to let Windows close the NTFS partitions. To do it you
need to close the windows session, and to shutdown the system.if so than
open you computer again.
ubuntu will mount you NTFS partition directy without nay problem.
if not you need to mount your partition manually.
to do go to consol and tape as ROOT this man mount if you don't know how to
mount.
if you know how to mount just tape mount /dev/hd.... /media/hd.....and
enter your partition name.

Please make sure you Windows partition have no errors on it.

Booting in Windows force an a complete hard disk check.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265
Then reboot again in Windows and make a clean shutdown.
Be sure to boot in Windows twice and to get a clear Windows shutdown.

Then boot from Ubuntu and retry to mount them...

Hope this helps
