how do I specify file system type when mounting

i have a reiserfs ide drive that i am trying to mount to ubuntu. when trying to mount it says:

mout - you must specify file system type.

how do i do this without losing data on slave hd to be visible in ubuntu?

Please tell to the mount command the partition type at mount:

mount -t reiserfs ...

to get help on mount usin terminal, type:

man mount

Mounting a device usually can't make loosing data...

Please use "sudo" command when you mount a device

sudo mount -t reiserfs ...
