Asked by Maninder Singh

i have window xp and ubuntu installed on my pc. Their is some error in my window. I find some solution for it and for solve problem.I have to rename some files in windows folder in drive in which window installed.

I have to rename and paste the file in windows/system32/config but while i go for paste or renaming a file it shows error

the ubuntu shows error on only pasting or renaming of file in config folder while in all other folder in windows folder it is possible to paste or rename any file

but problem occurs only in config folder

when i go to rename the file it shows error as
Sorry, could not rename "system" to "system.old": Error renaming file: Input/output error

while pasting a file it shows error as
There was an error copying the file into /media/Windows/WINDOWS/system32/config.
show more detail : Error opening file '/media/Windows/WINDOWS/system32/config/_REGISTRY_MACHINE_SYSTEM': Input/output error

the problem of renaming and pasting is only related to config folder; renaming, pasting of files is possible in other folder of windows folder

please tell the solution .
