wont mount any virtual media 12.10

I upgraded from 12.04 to 12.10 and now i cant mount any virtual media and even when i do correctly download software it says it failed but it didnt.

Hi Brian,

is this question also solved by the following method?

1. Open a terminal window

2. Execute the following two commands (without comments):

# Add a folder
sudo mkdir /media/USERNAME

# assign the folder to my user
sudo chown USERNAME.USERNAME /media/USERNAME
