When you use su, you need the root password, which doesn't exist. You can get a root prompt with:

sudo -i

and use:

exit

to end the session. If you want to play a DVD open a media player like VLC and click File -> open disk.

If you want to play DVD movies or CD audio, you don't have to mount the disk, it is accessed raw.

If you are mounting a data cd, the you'll need something like:

sudo mkdir /media/cdrom0; sudo mount /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom0

And it will mount. When you mount, if the device is not in fstab you need to specify the mount point, otherwise the OS has no idea where to mount to....reading the man page will show you this.

Investing in the best welding respirator is necessary for every professional, amateur, and hobbyist welder. It is mostly because welding exposes you to a lot of damaging gasses and fumes emitted while welding.
